History

Like many Rava viera, at a young age Nerva left Golmore to venture out and see the world. It wasn't long before she arrived in Ul'dah and met the inspiring and charismatic Evoix, an elezen man studying aether, magic, and all its uses. The two quickly connected and fell in love, and Nerva was overjoyed as she began to see a pleasant future for herself.But those dreams would never came to pass.Evoix's studies lead him to the magics of Mhach and the void. Seemingly overnight he became enamored with the darker, powerful magics, and his influential presence easily allowed him to create the Order of the Everlasting Abyss, a cult dedicated to the void and its powerful magics.While Nerva saw all of this happening right before her, she felt powerless to stop it. Any fears or concerns she had were easily brushed away or comforted by Evoix and Nerva always left the conversations at a loss of what to do.The viera realized she could no longer stand on the sidelines though when Evoix and his followers began to capture and sacrifice people with the plan to summon a high rung voidsent. Words had failed to stop her elezen lover, and every bit of blood shed she felt partially responsible for. She knew had to take action, and in order to do that, she knew she needed power.With little time before Evoix's planned summoning, Nerva was forced to take desperate action. Using Evoix's own research, Nerva called out to the void, asking for the capabilities to stop her partner's goals. A curious voidsent by the name of Vertiga answered her call and offered to make a pact with the viera. In exchange for letting it possess her, the voidsent would destroy the cult. Nerva agreed.As promised, when the night of the summoning came, Nerva did not sit idly by as usual. Letting Vertiga take hold, the voidsent revealed her abilities, a piercing cry that ended the life of any that heard it. The cult's gathering was immediately sent into chaos, and Vertiga was intent to devour the aether of all she could. The only life Nerva asked to be sparred was that of Evoix, who was allowed to flee.In a single night, the Order of the Everlasting Abyss was dismantled.Rumors quickly began of the cult's summoning going awry and Nerva ultimately being possessed and causing the deaths of all present, but the viera knew the truth. She was a murderer now, wanted by the Brass Blades, and her lover was gone forever. Feeling like her life was over, she fled to Kugane and continued to let Vertiga possess her as it wished.Over the years, as the voidsent and viera's souls continued to coinhabit the same body, they slowly became one...

Present

Now, twenty years since the end of the Order of the Everlasting Abyss, a voidhunter and her band of adventurers happened upon Evoix, who was hiding away in a community he created in the Thanalan desert. Finding he was still using the powers of the void for the benefit of himself and those around him, the voidhunter killed him, but not without learning of Nerva and what she had done all those years ago. Another hunt began to find the viera.It was not long before they found Nerva, who was now working for the Umineko tea shop in Kugane. She was known as a sweet and happy viera, always interested in sitting and listening to the life stories of the customers she served. Knowing the truth of her past though, the voidhunter's allies captured her, and expected her to reveal her true nature.What they found though was quite unusual. While Nerva remembered the events of many years ago, she no longer related to either the viera or the voidsent. While she did feel the hunger of aether, she was repulsed by the idea of killing to satiate it. Similarly, while she did understand mortal emotions and etiquette, she felt nothing after hearing of Evoix's end.Believing Nerva had become someone new for all intents and purposes, a merged being of mortal and voidsent, she was taken under of the wing and protection of one of the voidhunter's allies. With this new support system, Nerva has become more comfortable with her strange status, and set out to use her abilities to offer emotional support to others.

I am an exceptionally experienced (15+ years) MMO roleplayer looking to tell stories through RP. I love to develop characters and see where they lead through interactions and experiences with others.I prefer small group or one on one RP, but will occasionally go to public events to meet new people.I'm happy to run scenes/plots to give myself and others something interesting to do and RP about. Usually they are medium-high power level depending on the players involved. I do not like using /random rolls for combat and prefer to trust people to be reasonable when/if their characters are injured and how badly (don't shake off a grave wound or die from a stumble).I'm open to relationship RP but prefer it develop organically over time (no random hookups). I have a bias towards female viera, highlanders, and roegadyn :P
